Yi Jiang is a writer from Shanghai and Wisconsin.
She is a 2026-2028 Wallace Stegner Fellow at
Stanford University. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in
Ploughshares,
The Missouri Review,
Gulf Coast, and elsewhere. She holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA in Fiction from
Vanderbilt University, where she was a Russell G. Hamilton scholar. Her work has received financial support from Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. She is currently finishing a debut novel and collection of short stories.
Prior to a career shift, she worked as a systems engineer in healthcare technology. In her spare time, she also writes for film, including a
short film in French and a feature in progress.
